Hello! We are Daniel and Marissa. We met at church in 2021 and quickly became close friends. In 2022, we went on our first date, and both knew it would be our “last first date.” One year later, we were married and have been joyfully building a life together ever since.
We love staying active, hiking, skiing, running, and playing soccer, but also enjoy slower moments like getting lost in a good book or playing a board game. Serving others, building meaningful relationships, and living out our faith in Jesus are at the center of our lives.
Individually, even before we were married, God placed the desire to adopt on each of our hearts. We have been prayerfully hoping and planning for the Lord to grow our family through adoption. We are incredibly grateful for the journeys that brought us here and feel honored to be ready to love, nurture, and welcome a child as our own.
My faith is central to who I am. I love Jesus, and my identity is rooted in Him. He guides my life, and I trust His path for me. I am someone who loves to have fun but can also be serious when needed. I care deeply about the people around me and strive to be someone others can trust and feel genuinely cared for by. I am naturally organized and structured, and I enjoy making thoughtful plans.
Daniel grew up in Pennsylvania in a close-knit family with one older sister who now lives in Utah, with her husband and four kids. Daniel has extended family spread across the country and cherishes every opportunity to spend time together. Daniel’s parents now live nearby in Washington and are deeply supportive, making time to be actively involved in the lives of their children whenever possible
I have a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and have always enjoyed learning about how businesses work and how decisions impact people and outcomes. I currently work in logistics management as a program manager for a logistics technology company. Each day brings new challenges, and I enjoy solving problems, thinking strategically, and continually learning in my work.
I enjoy spending time with friends and being outside whenever I can. I love hiking, skiing, paddleboarding, camping, and traveling, especially when it means exploring new places or trying new foods. I enjoy staying active through sports like soccer and volleyball, watching sports, and playing board games. I also love reading, geography, and learning new things, and I’m always curious about the world around me.
Hi, I’m Marissa! My faith in Jesus is the foundation of my life and shapes the way I love and care for others. I’m an extrovert who genuinely enjoys people and tries to see the good in everyone. I have lots of hobbies, but my favorite moments are always the ones spent with friends and family, simply doing life together.
I value relationships deeply and love creating a warm, welcoming home where people feel seen, loved, and supported. I look forward to being a mom who is present, encouraging, and intentional, guiding a child with patience, joy, and unconditional love.
Marissa grew up in Washington with her parents and one older brother. She has a large but close-knit extended family with sixteen cousins! Most live in the Pacific Northwest, which makes gathering for birthdays, holidays, and special occasions easy and fun! Marissa is thankful for her loving and supportive family and cherishes every moment she gets to spend with them.
I have a Master of Social Work degree. I worked in the social work realm for a few years, but realized I needed a more active job. I am now on my fifth year teaching Pre-K and I love it!
I love being active and outside. A few of my favorite outdoor activities include hiking, rollerblading, running, volleyball, and camping. Playing the guitar, singing, and playing board games are some of my other favorite activities.
We recently bought our first house and are excited about making it a home! It has a yeard with lots of space to play and explore. The inside is spacious and cozy with space to grow our family. There are also several great parks within minutes of our home. =)
