We met at a church Christmas party and got to know each other through game nights and dinner outings with friends, leading to our own friendship and more conversations between the two of us. We realized we had a lot in common and both felt very comfortable being ourselves with each other. We had our first date in 2017 and were married at our church in 2018.
As a couple. we love exploring new places and sharing experiences together. We like to go for walks in nature and especially enjoy exploring different national parks. Our quest is to visit them all! The theme parks at Disney and Universal Studios are also some of our favorite places to unwind and play. We enjoy exploring abroad and closer to home as well.
After tackling the responsibilities for the day, my favorite activities in life are dinners and game nights with friends and family, going for a hike, or hunkering down to watch a show or a movie. If I am blessed to adopt a child one day, I want to be a fully invested, loving, and present dad who plays with them, teaches them, and supports them throughout their whole life.
I grew up in Washington and have two two half siblings who are both older. Because of the age difference I was raised as an only child but enjoyed get-togethers with my brother and sister. My mom passed away in 2022 and my dad and stepmom still live in the area. My sister was adopted from Korea which sparked my heart for adoption. She is currently living in Nevada and my brother lives in California. We keep in touch through texts and phone calls, with occasional visits.
I love animals, especially horses and dogs. Working with animals was very therapeutic for me as a teenager and still is to this day. That is something I would like to share with a child.
I survived cancer in my teens, which really taught me about what is most important in life. Things and accomplishments come and go, but in the end, it's loving on and investing in the people you're with that really matters.
I grew up in Washington in a tight-knit family that did everything together. My cousin was like a sister growing up. My grandma still lives in the area, but most of my family are further away now, and living on farms. We still enjoy getting together for family gatherings and visit as often as possible.
I earned bachelor's degrees in business and graphic design and currently work as a graphic designer.
Our home is in a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance to playgrounds, the library, local schools, parks, beaches, and activity centers. Our backyard has room to play, and we enjoy growing our own berries, fruit trees, and herbs. We have a large kitchen where we like to cook our meals from scratch and use organic foods whenever possible.
Our faith is the most important part of our lives. It binds us together, drives our decisions, and gives our life purpose. We are blessed to be part of a great church where the people are like family. Everyone takes care of one another. We've both learned that people are more important to us than things. Spending time with friends and family, going on adventures, and making memories are what we are all about.
