Our names are Crissy and Thomas. Crissy is a pediatric nurse and Thomas is a former police officer and current first responder for 9-1-1. The thing we want most in this world is to have a family. We have been married for nine years, and we did fertility treatments for the first six of them. We were originally introduced in 2007 and over the next few years were introduced by a few more. We finally decided to give it a shot. We got married in November 2013, Over the next several years of medical intervention, treatments and one lost pregnancy it was discovered that Crissy had unexplained infertility. We still have the dream to start a family. We know that families are made in many different ways and we are hopeful that our family is still out there. We truly feel as though God has led us to adoption, and we hope and pray that this will finally be our opportunity to create our family.
I am easy-going and am told that I am always smiling. I focus on the positive and think the best of people because it is what I would want in return. I've lived in central Texas my whole life and have most of my immediate family in the area.
My parents moved to central Texas in the late 70's and still live in the house I grew up inside. Although my parents did divorce in 2006, they are friendly and communicate with each other often. I have 4 siblings: Matthew (42), Bradley (38), Natalie (31), and Anna (27).
I have two careers: 9-1-1 Telecommunicator and owner of a home inspection company. I have multiple licenses and certifications related to these fields, ranging from being a CPR Instructor to being licensed home and termite inspector.
Even though I don't have a lot of spare time, I enjoy reading books of various genres and often get lost in a captivating storyline. I also love watching sports. Mostly football and baseball, but I can get into soccer and the Olympics.
I was born in Missouri and spent the first 10 years of my life on a dairy farm. My mom, brother, sister, and I moved to Texas when I was 11 and I have been here ever since! Fun Fact: I have had white streaks in my hair since I was 15!
My parents divorced when I was 10 and my brother and I were raised by my mom and my older sister. We are all very close! My mom lives on our property and cant wait to have grandkids to garden and bake cookies with. My sister is a career woman and my brother blessed me with three nieces and one nephew before he suddenly passed away this past summer. I have three best friends that I have had since I moved here and from them acquired 6 more "nephews" and one more "niece", my Goddaughter Megan.
I originally went to and graduated from culinary school with a degree as a Chef. I loved the nutrition part of it so I went back to school to become a nurse. I have been a pediatric nurse for over 15 years and also give cooking classes!
I enjoy football and I am both a Kansas City Chiefs fan and an Texas A and M fan, but I LOVE baseball! I grew up on a softball field. I love my dogs, reading, sewing, cooking, and Thomas and I love going dancing and doing home improvement projects.
Our home is full of laughter is frequently recorded while one of our dogs (Usually Cooper) does something goofy and must be documented. We live on 2 acres in the country and the closest town is about 15 away, but that is another part that we love, it is quiet and we often are outside enjoying the trees and wildlife.
Our world revolves around God, family, and church. We are a part of a wonderful congregation at Generations Church and are grateful to have a church family that is so supportive and encouraging about the journey we have been on to grow our family. We also have a church life-group that is a strong faith-based foundation for us to voice our sadness during down times and celebrate during successes.
